loose weight by eating more
many people think that to live by healthy diets they need to stick to a calorie controlled, fat counted meal plan. People who try this kind of healthy diets, eventually return to their eating habits and find the pounds pile back on again. But it doesn’t have to be like this, if you adopt a different approach, you and your loved ones can all live on healthy diets, without having to get the calorie calculator out. Here are the dos and don’ts for success:
1) Eat more carbohydrates-bread, potatoes, pasta, rice and cereals. These provide starch and fibre. base your familys healthy diets around these foods but avoid smothering them with butter, cream sauces and mayonnaise. Also eat more protein, most which is found in meats, fish, poultry, nuts, beans, lentils and peas.
2) Keep yourself hydrated- Water is an essential part of any healthy diet. It works as a purifier, flushing toxins from the body. Also if you drink a glass of water before a meal, it will stop you from over-eating by making you feel full sooner. For cravings of sugary drinks try drinking some fizzy mineral water.
3) Eat less fat- Substitute high fat dairy products for low fat alternatives. Use low fat cooking methods like grilling, boiling and steaming. Reduce your sugar intake from foods like pastries, chocolate and sweets. Alcohol has zero fat, but it contains loads of calories. Dairy products are our main source of calcium, but most are high in fat, so balance your intake of -cheese’s, yoghurts and milk appropriately.
4) Cut out the salt-. Your body only requires small amounts of salt so cut back on this too. Adding salt to meals is a high cause of high blood pressure. Also try to stop eating processed foods, as they contain high amounts of salt.
5) Change your lifestyle- Changing your eating habits to those of healthy diets takes time and patience. Introduce new foods on a step by step basis. Examine your lifestyle. Are you stressed? working long hours? if so you could be overeating to compensate and snacking on high in fat foods, instead try replacing these snacks with pieces of fruit, and swap the work cafeteria fry ups for healthier options, a salad or even grilling your food instead of frying are steps in the right direction.
6) Exercise- Healthy diets aren’t all about eating, exercise plays a key role too. A simple 20 minute walk shortly after a meal or snack, helps to burn off the calories, while short energetic exercises helps to get the blood pumping around the body which as well as helping to burn up calories and boosting your metabolism can have a therapeutic effect on you, helping to relieve you of stress and/or depression.
